While I am away at NWSA this week, I want you to think about the following:
- In the context of being seen and heard, I want you to research and find at least one media (newspaper, magazine, blog, tv show, news report, etc.) that fits into the claim Harris makes about the significance of society calling on girl's voices.
- Thinking now of Harris, your media artifact, and the voices of the girls from BlueJean, what is the relationship between these texts?
Then, in 350-500 words, explain the context of these texts (all three: BlueJean, media artifact, and the Harris chapter) for girls' leadership. What can we draw on to help us understand girls leadership? What is a stake for girls' leadership given this context?
